Virgin Gorda Residents Express Gratitude At CCT Back To School Drive
CCT's Back to School Drive held on Virgin Gorda today, Sunday, August 26, residents expressed appreciation and gratitude to receive backpacks and school supplies.
Educator, parent and resident Ms. Leticia Lennard expressed, "We are grateful to have CCT present with the community today assisting the children of Virgin Gorda to be prepared for the reopening of school. As an educator this warms my heart to know that every child who attended today's Back to School Distribution Drive received a backpack with school supplies and I say a huge thank you to CCT for this kind gesture and keeping us in thoughts."
CCT’s Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, Jerilee T. Hopkins said that, “Today we saw over 200 children ranging from daycare to college students. We stand with the community to support and empower students to stay in school and be successful, and this ties in perfectly with our Back to School Drive."
"Our goal is to send hundreds of students back to school with school supplies and a back pack. Our Back to School Drive continues with Anegada on Wednesday, August 29, at Anegada Reef Hotel from 10am to 3pm and Jost Van Dyke on Friday, August 31, at Foxy's from 12pm to 3pm," Ms. Hopkins further stated.
CCT will remain active and involved in the community supporting the BVI in the rebuilding process along with tackling issues that affect the territory. To view highlights from CCT Back to School Drive visit CCT BVI Facebook page.
