Students and Staff at the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cow’s Bay are taking a step up back in the online world, thanks to CCT BVI.
The telecoms company donated a GOFASTLTE Modem with complementary internet service to the school, which had no internet access following the passage of hurricane Irma.
Principal Sybil Hodge reached out for assistance and CCT stepped up to the plate to provide aid.
CCT along with the Principal visited most of the classes and other rooms to see the extent of the damages.
CCT BVI is excited to roll out a fresh wave of new “Hero Plans”. The three new prepaid plans start as low as $5 and include great bundled features such as data, local and US calling as well as unlimited worldwide text.
“After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, it was evident more than ever that our customers needed more value for money. On the road to 100% customer satisfaction, we wanted to provide customers with better options for bundle packages at more affordable and competitive pricing,” said Recaldo Richardson, Marketing Manager at CCT BVI.
Pregnant women and parents of infants are today expected to get relief from telecommunication providers CCT, which has launched a baby supplies distribution campaign.
Marketing Manager at CCT Recaldo Richardson said the initiative is a collaborative effort between themselves and the USVI Boxing Association, Westline Productions, as well as Tortola Fast Ferry.
After the passing of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, CCT suffered massive damage to the network infrastructure. Nearly all of our telecommunication towers throughout the territory were damaged beyond repair and need to be rebuilt and replaced. However, through the perseverance of our hardworking engineers we have already managed to restore coverage to Road Town and the surrounding areas using salvaged equipment. In addition, replacement equipment has already been ordered. Our engineers are working tirelessly to restore additional sites and expand our service area.
CCT BVI today announced that they have signed an agreement to consolidate the ownership and management of CCT BVI and BVI Cable TV, subject to government approval.
