An Important Network Update: Moving Beyond 2G

Technology has changed, and so has the way we use our phones.

Years ago, 2G introduced mobile calling and texting. Today, devices require faster and more secure networks. That’s why we’re retiring 2G as a continuation of our efforts to offer and more and more robust network experience for our customers..

This allows us to turn our focus to enhancing our users 4G and 5G experiences, improving quality, speed, and reliability.

What does this mean for you?

Most customers will not be affected.

If you’re using a modern smartphone, tablet, or mobile device that supports 3G, 4G, or 5G, your service will continue to work as normal.

You may need to take action only if you’re using a device that relies solely on 2G connectivity. These may include, but are not limited to the following:

After the 2G network is switched off, devices that depend solely on 2G will no longer be able to make calls, send texts, or connect to the network.
